Learning with Literature

I think as parents it is so important for us to instill in our children a love of learning.  Not just teaching them how to read or count but to spark a curiosity that lasts a lifetime.  One of my favorite ways to do this is learning with literature.  Not only does it open an entire world of people, places and things but it is also an inexpensive and stress free way to learn.  At a minimum, all you need is a good stack of books from the library and an afternoon snuggled on the couch or on a blanket outside.  If you want to add to it, books provide fantastic opportunities to expand across all subjects and activities.  For inspiration, here are some great books we’ve used to learn.
